How to Write Product Descriptions That Sell (With a Simple Template)

The simple structure (copy/paste)

1.      Who it’s for: Name the buyer and the situation.

2.      The outcome: What changes after they use it?

3.      Key benefits (3 bullets): Keep them specific.

4.      Proof: A detail, spec, or result that builds trust.

5.      Objections: Answer the top 1–2 questions.

6.      Call to action: Tell them what to do next.

Example (short)

Instead of: “High-quality stainless steel bottle.” Try: “Stay hydrated on long days without leaks. This stainless steel bottle keeps drinks cold for up to 24 hours, fits most cup holders, and won’t sweat in your bag.”

Common mistakes

·         Listing features with no outcome

·         Using vague words like “premium” and “best”

·         Skipping sizing, compatibility, and care details
